Instructions

Watch the video for a step-by-step demonstration.

  1. Remove the bow frog.
There is no need to remove the existing leather grip or any other grip on the bow.

  2. Apply a tiny amount of lubricant — such as silicone grease, washing-up liquid, petroleum jelly (e.g. Vaseline), or even baby powder — to the inside of one end of the cushion. Use only the smallest amount, at the end of the cushion, leading onto the stick.

  3. Gently and evenly slide the cushion onto the bow stick, easing it up toward the leather grip. The thin leading edge tends to tuck under the grip — so ease the lip over the existing grip by flicking it up carefully with your fingernail. The cushions are very durable, designed to stretch without tearing.

  4. Continue to gently push the cushion onto the grip. It may compress slightly as you do so. Once fully on, carefully ease the cushion a little in the opposite direction to achieve full length, even it out, and then adjust to the correct position.

  5. Replace the frog, taking great care to align the screw correctly

Note: The neoprene material is non-toxic and safe for your bow when used according to instructions.

Care & Replacement

Watch the video to learn how to remove and replace the cushion.

The cushion can be removed and reversed when worn, or rotated to shift any worn section to the opposite side—effectively doubling its lifespan.

Note: Do not cut the cushion off during removal, as blades may damage the underlying grip or bow stick. It’s best to avoid using sharp tools.
